Selena Gomez shocked fans when she announced that after three successful albums and a tour around North and South America, her band Selena Gomez & The Scene are breaking up. "My band and I are going our separate ways for a while," Selena wrote on Facebook. "This year is all about films and acting and I want my band to play music wherever with whoever. We will be back but, it will be a good while. I love them and I love you guys."

Selena also wants to stress that there was no drama and the split was completely amicable. "I can't express enough how grateful I am for this group. They have been with me since day one and I can't believe it's actually over," Selena wrote on Instagram with the photo above. "I love you The Scene, marsh mellow girls, Ashley & Ashlee, Jivanta, Marco, Brian & Brian, mark, Jason, Javier, Timmy! Could NOT have done any of this without you. Currently bawling my eyes out. I'll miss you guys"

Selena will start filming her movie Spring Breakers soon and she also has roles in Hotel Transylvania and 13 Reasons Why in the works.

Selena Gomez is jumping on the vampire bandwagon! The star has signed on to voice Dracula's daughter in the new animated flick Hotel Transylvania -- a role that originally belonged to Miley Cyrus. "I really wanna work on my music this year," Miley Tweeted about why she dropped the part.

The flick follows Dracula (Adam Sandler), who operates a high-end resort away from the human world and begins to freak out when a boy discovers the place and falls for the Count's teenage daughter (Selena).

Hotel Transylvania is rumored to hit theaters later this year.

In January, Selena Gomez took time out of her schedule to visit 13-year-old fan Hana Hwang at the Children's Hospital Los Angeles, after Ryan Seacrest contacted the star and told her about Hana' "lifelong dream" to meet Selena. Hana has progeria, a rare fatal genetic syndrome where individuals exhibit premature aging symptoms. (The movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button starring Brad Pitt is about a man with progeria.) Children affected by the disease age eight to 10 times faster than the average person and tend to not live past age 13. There is also no cure at this time.

The movie follows four girls who rob a restaurant so they can pay for their spring break trip. After getting caught, a bad guy bails out the four girls, and in return for the favor, the girls are sent out on a crazy adventure to do some "dirty work" to repay him.

This may be the first time Ashley and Selena are officially working together, but the two are already tight -- Ashley is dating Justin Bieber's ex-swagger coach Ryan Good and the two couples recently vacationed in Mexico together with some friends.

Selena has recently announced plans to focus more on her acting career saying, "I'm gonna do my South America tour, which I'm excited about and then I'm gonna take a little break from music and do two films, which will probably take up most of my year."
