J-14 is scouting out the hottest bands around... and this week's pick is Kate Voegele.

Here are five things you need to know about Kate Voegele whose currently on tour with Parachute!

1. Kate Voegele has always loved music and credits her father for inspiring her to become a musician and follow her dreams. "I always loved music and lived and breathed it as a kid, but when my dad taught me to play guitar, I really fell in love with it," Kate tells J-14. "I wanted to be able to say everything that I was feeling about the things going on in my life, and songwriting was a perfect outlet."

Sad news for Ashley Tisdale, Aly Michalka, and the cast of Hellcats -- after only one season, The CW has canceled their show.

"I had an amazing experience filming Hellcats. Not only did I grow as a person but I met some amazing people who are now my best friends," Ashley Tweeted. "I just want to thank all the fans for all the support! xoxo"

And Aly echoed, "My dear fans.... I just want to tell you all how grateful I am for all your comments regarding Hellcats being cancelled. I had such an incredible experience that was life changing. The friendships, memories, and adventures will never be forgotten."

The CW also announced that One Tree Hill, 90210, Gossip Girl, The Vampire Diaries, and Nikita will all be back next year, and that there will be several new shows including The Secret Circle, which stars Life Unexpected's Britt Robertson.

The CW has just announced that it will renew Vampire Diaries, Gossip Girl, 90210, America's Next Top Model, and Supernatural. Unfortunately One Tree Hill and Hellcats still hang in the balance and may or may not return.

What shows are you excited about for new seasons in the fall?

Jana Kramer plays superstar Alex Dupre on One Tree Hill, but did you know she has musical talent of her own? Jana just signed a deal with Warner Music Nashville and will release a country album!

Jana's first single "I Won't Give Up," will air on the February 8 episode of One Tree Hill.

"I Won't Give Up" is about never giving up on the ones you love," Jana says. "I wrote this song because I know what it's like to be dependent on someone then have to learn how to stand on my own again."

One Tree Hill's Sophia Bush has teamed up with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and DoSomething.org to fight climate change with eMission in a new PSA!

eMission is a Facebook game set on the coast, where players build and maintain habitats for wildlife. Players complete missions to help save the environment through various tasks including planting trees and taking shorter showers.

So what made Sophia take on promoting the fight against climate change through Facebook? "Teens are already on Facebook playing games, so why not play one that's going to change your life for the better?" Sophia says. "Young people need to hear that they're powerful and can be leaders in change. This is the idea behind eMission."

Ashley Tisdale and Aly Michalka are proving they don't need High School Musical or Aly & AJ to keep their careers soaring high. The CW Television Network just announced that their show Hellcats has been picked up for a full season.

In addition to Hellcats getting a full season, One Tree Hill and Nikita were also given a full-season order, meaning we'll likely see new episodes of all three shows through May.
