Do you like Simple Plan or Forever The Sickest Kids? What would you ask them in an interview?
During Simple Plan's "Get Your Heart On! Tour" we had Forever The Sickest Kids' lead singer Jonathan Cook sit down and pick the brains of Simple Plan's drummer Chuck Comeau and guitarist Sébastien Lefebvre. In part two of the interview, Chuck and Sébastien discuss their role in the global fight against bullying, what they were like in high school, and how it gets better.

Forever The Sickest Kids and Simple Plan got to know a great deal about one another as they toured the US on Simple Plan's "Get Your Heart On! Tour". Lead singer Jonathan Cook learned even more about Simple Plan's guitarist Sébastien Lefebvre and drummer Chuck Comeau's when we put the camera on him and made him an honorary J-14 editor for the day. He caught up with the guys before their performance in New York City and interviewed Chuck and Sébastien for us in this J-14 exclusive video.

When Forever the Sickest Kids stopped by the J-14 Office in March 2011, they were thrilled to sit in the exact same spot that Justin Bieber sat in when he visited our office back in May 2009.
So of course we started chatting about how proud we are of how far Justin has come! When we noticed that FTSK lead singer Jonathan Cook was wearing the same color shirt and hat that Justin was when he did his famous J-14 hair trick video, we pulled up the vintage video to watch.
We The Kings hit the stage at West Hollywood's House of Blues last night on Monday night, and they brought out a very special guest with them -- Demi Lovato! She duets with the boys on their Smile Kid album track, "We'll Be A Dream," and she finally go to sing her part live!
But Demi almost didn't make it on stage to sing -- sources tell J-14 that at first "a bouncer thought she was some random groupie!" Luckily she mad it on stage and wowed the crowd!
J-14 is scouting out the hottest bands around... and this week's pick is Forever the Sickest Kids!
Here are five things you need to know about Forever the Sickest Kids, whose album, The Weekend: Friday, hits stores tomorrow!
1- The band got their start when five days after they officially formed, lead singer Jonathan Cook accidentally clicked his mouse on a button that cost them $350 to get front-page placement on Pure Volume. Problem? They didn't have a song! So in two days they came up with "Hey Brittany."
2- They're currently on their first American headlining tour through December 5 with The Rocket Summer, My Favorite Highway, and Sing It Loud.
3- This new album is the first of a three-part album series called The Weekend -- this one is Friday and Saturday and Sunday will each come out about a year and a half later.
4- The band is ALL about their fans! Jonathan recently tweeted from the road, "Just played catch w/ Nerf footballs w/ fans in Line at Boston HOB felt like I was on the Dallas Cowboys, now watching the game." And when they were in Paris, they even went sight-seeing with fans. "We walked out from a venue and asked the fans if they knew how to get to the Eiffel Tower and they're like, 'It's 30 minutes from here -- you want us to just go with you?' and we took basically 20 fans from the line and we just all hopped on the subway and went across town to the Eiffel Tower," Jonathan says. "It was really fun!"
5- The Texas band became fast friends with Selena Gomez when she missed their show and visited them in the studio. "One thing that I didn't know is how good of a singer she is," Jonathan tells J-14. "I told her, 'I can count the number of times that I've actually sat down and put in my iTunes gift card and bought a song this year and I just sat down and bought all of the Selena Gomez songs on iTunes.' I'm such a fan of her voice. She's such a good singer!"
But enough from us... let's let the band tell you about their new album in their own words:
Forever the Sickest Kids are filming a new music video right NOW in New Jersey -- and lead singer Jonathan Cook just tweeted this photo from the set!
The band's new album The Weekend: Friday hits stores next Tuesday. If you want to go to their album release party on Monday in New York City, click here to RSVP.
They'll also be performing at the 2009 United Way Thanksgiving Day Halftime Show: A Motown 50th Anniversary Tribute, which will happen during halftime of the Detroit Lion/Green Bay Packers game on Thursday, November 26 at 12:30 PM ET on FOX.
It was a total LOL-fest when we recently chatted with FTSK's singer Jonathan Cook. He dished to us about the band's new CD, his fave thing to do in Texas, and, of course his "little sister" Selena Gomez! Sel's duet with FTSK, "Whoa Oh!" is available on iTunes NOW! Click here to purchase it!
J-14: Why did you guys pick "Whoa Oh!" to be your duet with Selena?
Jonathan: It was her idea! Selena surprised me and sent me a version of the song, and I showed it to the other guys and it sounded really cool. We were like, "Why don't we do an official version where she sings on it?" So Selena came to the studio while we were in L.A. and it was really after a long days work. So it was really just relaxing to get in the studio and be able to do something really special.
J-14: So it was one of those late night jam sessions you always hear about?
Jonathan: Yeah, we just got pizza and we just hung out in the studio and everything was cool. It wasn't like we were working at all.
J-14: How did you deal with the rumors that you were dating Selena?
Jonathan: I didn't even know! I don't even pay attention to rumors. But I help Selena -- I try to help her stay off the internet where they talk bad. It's so hard to ignore it. Selena's like a little sister to me and we have a great friendship.
J-14: Do you give her brotherly advice about boys?
Jonathan: We don't talk about that stuff that much. We talk about more things like Texas and homesickness and new things in our careers that are exciting and happening and things like that.
J-14: What's your favorite thing to do in Texas?
Jonathan: There's this new day spa that opened in October. It's like 32,000 sq. foot and it's just a fabulous place that you would never expect. And there's only two. There's one in Chicago and there's one in Dallas. So the first thing I wanna do when I get home is go to the King Spa & Sauna.
J-14: So tell us about the deluxe edition of Underdog Alma Matter!
Jonathan: The deluxe edition of our album will be out this summer. It has 29 songs and 11 videos. It's gonna be super-packed. And it's gonna be basically all the stuff that maybe didn't make the album and early acoustic versions of songs that also did make the album. Our Taylor Swift "Love Story" cover is on there and some other fun songs. And then the whole cartoon series that we did for YouTube is gonna be on there including the fifth and final episode, which I haven't even seen yet!
